The group you’ll be a part of In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. The impact you’ll make Responsibilities may include a combination of the following: Hardware Development: Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities of a hardware development function for electronic design, mechanical design and/or hardware reliability. Software Development: Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities of a software development function for software systems, applications and/or software quality assurance. Systems Design: Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities of an integrated hardware/software systems design function. What you’ll do Lead a team focused on development of Hardware/Firmware for robotics and mechatronics products on Lam equipment. Manage Product release lifecycle for these Hardware/Software products. This includes the management of new customer requirements as well as solutions for problem areas. Communication among diverse teams including process engineers, technicians, suppliers and customers. Working in cross functional teams throughout our global organization. Employee management. Who we’re looking for Bachelors or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 4-6 years of supervisory experience. 7+ years of industry experience focused on robotics and motion control. At least 5 years of experience leading a team in the Semiconductor field related to motion control and robotics. At least 10 years of semiconductor equipment experience. Deep understanding of robotics, controls, and firmware development. Strong knowledge of PCB board design and FW development. Very strong communication skills. High standard of presentations. The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
