EIIC - Aerospace group has opening for "Engineering Manager-Sensing". Person in this position will be responsible for direct and functional leadership and management of the "Sensing" engineering team within the 'Fluid and Electrical Distribution' division. This is a team of about 10 to 11 engineers. "This position is responsible for delivering key engineering results aligned to the Engine Solution & Electrification Strategy of FED Division of Aerospace Group. Responsibility includes building organizational capability and capacity within the region and executing as per the global engineering strategy for the Group. Leadership and Management of the projects portfolio including research & development, product testing & compliance for significant enhancement in New Technology/ Product Introductions aligned to product & technology roadmap. Help meet the schedule, scope, cost and technical targets for all projects. Hiring, development and retention of talent/ employees in the department. Develop and maintain relationships with global stakeholders. Drive DFSS, Application Engineering Fundamentals & ‘Analysis First' mind-set in product development and engineering projects. Master's Degree in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) "Minimum 8+ Years of relevant experience with multinational engineering organization. Prior engineering management & Talent management experience is a must." "Required: Managing technical engineering team & related operations including knowledge of Quality Management System such as AS9100D, various Aircraft industry standards. Sensors, materials & various sensing applications Leading product development including associated test planning, qualification testing procedures with an ability to resolve issues in realtime. Knowledge of Aircraft Engine & Gearbox Systems, components and technology will be added advantage Effective use of Design Analysis, Reliability, Manufacturing process, Customer interface, Continuous improvement methodologies Customer oriented approach, building customer & supplier relationships and hands on product testing experience will be an added advantage Desired: In depth knowledge and hands on with product design of Aircraft components Proficiency in use of DFSS & design for Reliability tools and technical decision making A high sense of urgency along with a passion for the execution is desirable, along with a drive to grow both personally and professionally. The position requires the incumbent to be highly proficient in engineering skills, project management and documentation with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, thus enabling first time right product development and execution of NPI/VAVE/Cost out concepts.
