The successful candidate has a background in Enterprise and Solution Architecture who will lead and participate in various projects within digital transformation including ERP modernisation, data modernisation, AI/GenAI use case deployments, data and information management/governance, information process and flow mapping, data/report migration, data optimisation, and as part of multidisciplinary teams participating in digital transformation projects. We are looking for someone who can combine innovation and design and engage proactively with our customers on a long-term basis across their entire enterprise systems architecture to discover opportunities and drive an ongoing stream of deals and opportunity.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As a Manager in our Technology, Strategy and Transformation Advisory practice, you will use your strong business acumen and be a key member of a high performing team.

The successful candidate will have a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Develop business, information, application, technology and security architectures enterprise-wide or for specific lines of business, program areas or business functions
  • Develop generalised reference models for specific industry sectors
  • Establish Enterprise Architecture practices, capabilities, standards, and methods
  • Lead the delivery of business-led, technology-enabled project/programs using agile design, development and implementation methodologies
  • Develop Business Transformation Plans, IT Strategic Plans, Information Management Strategies, and Digital Strategies based on Enterprise Architectures, for enterprises and/or specific program areas or business functions
  • Evaluate application and technology portfolios in relation to target architectures, and recommend application rationalisation and modernisation strategies
  • Develop EA based business transformation portfolio plans and governance mechanisms
  • Assist with business and practice development by identifying, leading and preparing proposals, marketing material, internal and external presentations, seminar materials, articles, etc
  • Create relationships with clients and their teams
  • Provide enterprise architectures to support program evaluations and performance reviews of business and IT functions
  • Support and guide clients in implementing recommendations
  • Some travel may be required

WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE:

  • 7 to 10 years of professional work experience as an architect
  • Professional experience within the Calgary Energy Industry
  • Enterprise architecture skills in one or more areas, including: business architecture, information architecture, application architecture, technology architecture, solution architecture, security architecture
  • Ability to understand, analyse and synthesise large amounts of information about the policies and operations of high-complexity organisations
  • Excellent written and oral business communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with data modelling, definition writing, process modelling
  • Solution design and implementation experience, especially in an Agile environment
  • ERP application package knowledge, selection and/or implementation
  • Relevant designations are an asset, including but not limited to, TOGAF, Prince2, CGEIT
  • Cloud Platform Solution Architecture Certifications – Azure, AWS, Google, Oracle, etc.
  • SAFe or other Agile certifications, PMP, CISA, CDMP, ITIL, CoBIT certifications
  • University degree is an asset, preferably in computer science, engineering, business or a similar discipline
