BACKGROUND

The Tourism Industry Association of Alberta (TIAA) is a not-for-profit, member-based association that advocates on behalf of all segments of Alberta’s tourism economy for a competitive and sustainable business environment that generates substantial economic prosperity for the province. TIAA’s vision is that Alberta’s tourism industry will be the driving force of sustainable, community economic development.
TIAA represents every dimension of Alberta’s visitor economy; from airlines and airports to accommodations, food and beverage, attractions, cultural centers, live music venues, festivals, and destination marketing organizations, serving as the advocacy voice for over 10,000 tourism-related businesses. Through leadership, collaboration, and public-private partnerships, we aim to more than double the value of Alberta’s tourism economy to $25 B by 2035.
