This role is part of Alcon’s Facilities & Administration function, a team that works to promote a safe and inclusive work environment through site services, like facilities management and security, and administrative support, as we transform the eye care industry.

The Manager, General Facilities Management (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for leading the General Facilities Management department, developing strategies to drive departmental success, and ensuring alignment with company goals. You will play a key role in optimizing processes, managing resources, and supporting business performance through strategic leadership. Specifics include:

  • Lead the General Facilities Management (Professional Path) department by developing and implementing strategies that drive departmental success and align with company goals
  • Make key decisions, manage departmental budgets and resources, approve projects, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to support operational objectives and ensure effective resource allocation
  • Optimize facilities management processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, company standards, and GxP requirements by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate documentation, and enforcing rigorous quality control across all facilities management activities
  • Apply strategic planning, industry expertise, advanced problem-solving, and strong communication skills to achieve departmental objectives
  • Complete all required training, promote a culture of continuous improvement in facilities management operations, and contribute to overall organizational compliance
