IF YOU WERE OUR MANAGER, FACILITIES AND WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE NOW, HERE ARE SOME OF THE CORE ACTIVITIES YOU WOULD BE DOING:
- Facilities & Systems Operations (MEP-first):
- Owning uptime and performance of all facilities and critical systems: property, building envelope, MEP, life safety, space planning, furniture, and fixtures
- Leading all work in these domains, with preventive maintenance, lifecycle planning, disaster recovery, and contingency plans to protect business continuity
- Running the request platform/CMMS, uphold SLAs, and keep user-facing interfaces accurate and current

- Building and leading a high-performing F&WE team with clear goals, regular 1:1s, feedback and recognition with the overall goal of driving engagement
- Defining role clarity and growth plans – maintaining a succession bench
- Cross training for coverage; managing shift rotations to support production peaks and seamless business operations
ARE YOU OUR FUTURE MANAGER, FACULTIES & WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE?
- You have a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Building Engineering/Technology, Facilities Management or a Red Seal trade (Electrician, Millwright, Refrigeration/HVAC), or equivalent experience
- You have 5+ years in facilities or operations, ideally in manufacturing or distribution environments
- You are technically proficient: able to read architectural/MEP drawings and P&IDs; understands sequences of operation
- You have strong working knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing/process water, compressed air, process exhaust, chillers and fire/life safety); comfortable with CMMS and building/energy management systems
- You have strong interpersonal skills; handles difficult situations tactfully and professionally with a customer-service mindset
- You are a proven cross-functional collaborator who balances teamwork with independent decision-making
- You have a passion for staying current with workplace and operations trends and insights
- You have demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and project management skills
- You are an effective vendor partner and negotiator for selecting and managing service providers
- You work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- You are skilled at managing stakeholder relationships at all levels of the business
- You are recognized for a continuous improvement mindset; proactive in identifying root causes and implementing solutions
- You are highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time and priority management in live production environments
- You are a natural leader capable of guiding direct teams and cross-functional project teams

$106,000 - $146,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$106,000 - CAD$146,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
