YOU WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: -
Minimum degree level qualification in Social Sciences, Psychology, or Behavioural Sciences or a combination of relevant qualifications and/or experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in social or community services management. And the capacity to act as an accredited Family and Relationship Counsellor under the Family Law Act (1975).
Ability to support, guide and manage staff in remote regions, focused upon a collaborative approach to service delivery across the Townsville and Mount Isa regions, and in accordance with Departmental requirements.
Demonstrated experience in program and team management including proactive performance management and support approaches.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of governance reporting responsibilities and timeframes.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly the Family Law Act and service delivery considerations related to FCCS including Family Violence.
Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating program business / operational plans.
Ability to implement a valued-based approach to team functioning to cultivate a positive team environment across a geographically diverse environment.
Current driver licence.
Current, and ability to retain, both a Working with Children Blue Card check and Disability Services Clearance/Check/ Card.
