This is achieved by focusing on managing regulatory requirements and stakeholder relationships, using data analytics, developing financial crime typologies, assessing the risks of changes, and setting up processes that explain the reasoning (“why”), not just the actions (“what”), behind how we meet our obligations. Your team, Technology and Risk Support, provides second line risk oversight for the Financial Crime Risk in Change process. This means you help ensure that any technology change is managed with the right risk controls in place, and that thorough testing and review are carried out. The goal is to make sure these changes achieve their intended results, particularly in supporting financial crime processes and detection systems. Do work that matters Lead Line 2 Risk in Change reviews for technology changes that affect financial crime processes and detection systems across the Group and collaborate with Financial Crime stakeholders throughout the change delivery process to define and review business, testing, and governance requirements to achieve Agile delivery outcomes. Manage risks associated with technology changes by understanding their implications, overseeing related testing, and communicating impacts to key stakeholders & ensure all changes and testing requirements effectively consider relevant financial crime obligations and that stakeholders are engaged early in the process. More specifically you will: Lead the review of change submissions at key stage gates, ensuring that changes receive the necessary approvals before progressing further. Participate in change review sessions with delivery teams to understand and clarify change requirements, offering suitable recommendations for testing and implementing controls. Review test requirements and assess testing outcomes to confirm that implemented changes effectively address identified risks and meet compliance standards. Work closely with various Financial Crime streams—such as Transaction Monitoring, Payment Sanctions, Customer Sanctions, Customer Risk Assessment, and Threshold Transaction Reporting—to support the delivery of changes. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and improve processes across the team. Contribute to the strategic enhancement of controls or processes, supporting more effective and efficient risk management of technology changes. Assist in tracking and managing change pipelines across multiple channels to ensure visibility and oversight of ongoing initiatives. Promptly escalate any financial crime-related issues to the appropriate Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) personnel when required. Support the execution of the Financial Crime Compliance GATE business plan. We’re interested in hearing from people who have Solid experience and a deep understanding of technology change management, particularly within dynamic environments. Demonstrated expertise in delivering Financial Crime Technology solutions, with a strong grasp of the unique challenges and requirements in this space. Proven experience in test management—ideally focused on Financial Crime Technology changes—including the ability to assess, document, and evaluate testing outcomes. Skilled in documenting comprehensive business requirements and managing robust test processes to ensure successful delivery. Hands-on experience working in Agile delivery environments, with the ability to adapt and thrive in fast-paced settings. Sound knowledge of the regulatory landscape for financial crime, including technical understanding of AML/CTF, Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) risk environments. Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work. Demonstrated ability to implement, enhance, and streamline processes from a risk and control perspective, driving continuous improvement. Enthusiasm for supporting transformational initiatives and fostering a culture of ongoing improvement within the team. Capacity to quickly develop expertise across diverse and complex subject matter areas. Strong understanding of organisational risk, with well-developed risk management skills. Genuine passion for delivering impactful technology changes that mitigate risk and enhance compliance. Exceptional communication skills, with a proven track record of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all organisational levels. Relevant qualifications in IT or comparable experience in financial services will be highly regarded.
