Description
This role is deployed to AISG. Key Responsibilities include: Monitor all grants managed by AISG to ensure availability and grant compliance Ensure all financial procedures align with university policies and support year-end audit/tax filing processes Ensure SOPs are properly documented Manage research project financial data and system to ensure timely and accurate grant submission in accordance with the NTU policies and processes, grant T&C and harmonised guidelines Prepare periodic grant expense claim reports and management reports for Senior Management Coordinate with research teams for budgeting and financial reporting purposes Liaise with internal and external auditors on the grant certification audit & year end audit Mentor, guide and motivate staff Identify training needs and opportunities for staff Requirements Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CA/CPA/ACCA preferred 8–10 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in research grant finance (university / research institute / public sector) Strong experience managing high‑volume research grants, including budgeting, utilisation monitoring, claims, and compliance with grant T&Cs and harmonised guidelines Proven ability to support grant certification audits and year‑end audits, and liaise with internal and external auditors Hands‑on experience with finance and research grant systems and strong financial reporting skills Experience supervising and mentoring staff, and working closely with researchers and senior management Detail‑oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced research environment We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
