Global Commercial Services (GCS) provides a range of card programs and expense management tools to help large, medium and small businesses around the world manage almost all the facets of their business spending. The GCS Lead Financial Office (LFO) team is responsible for providing financial management, decision support, and planning & results analysis to the President of GCS and his direct reports to help achieve BU and AXP financial targets. The team works closely with GCS business partners and multiple Finance teams to drive insights which have a meaningful impact on GCS business strategy. This position is on the US Small Business Charge Product Finance team, which provides decision support for products including, but not limited to, Business Platinum, Gold, Green, Plum, and Centurion cards. The role requires strong partnership with Product and cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial and customer impact of key initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for developing data-driven insights, building robust financial models, and applying advanced analytics to inform product strategy and investment decisions. Responsibilities: Partner closely with Product and Finance stakeholders to shape portfolio strategy and investment decisions Develop financial business cases for product launches, refreshes, and new benefits Lead the analytical overhaul and automation of the CBA process, improving efficiency, consistency, and scalability across evaluations Build detailed analytics at the portfolio, product, and customer levels to inform strategic decisions Leverage advanced tools (e.g., Python, SQL, and GenAI capabilities) to streamline data processing, enhance modeling, and generate insights Provide financial consultation on high-impact initiatives and investment trade-offs Develop and produce post-launch tracking of initiatives for business partners and senior Finance leaders Minimum Qualifications: Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across Finance and Product organizations Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience building structured, data-driven frameworks Experience driving process transformation and automation in financial or analytical workflows (e.g., CBA frameworks) Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, automation, and modeling Familiarity with Generative AI tools and applications to enhance analytics, reporting, or workflow efficiency Team player that can work closely with finance colleagues and adapt to changing needs and priorities Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work through complex projects independently Bachelor’s degree required Salary Range: $100,000 to $150,000 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
