Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager Financial Accounting Operations to lead a high-performing finance function that underpins the integrity of our financial systems and reporting, as we transition from the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) to the Department of Customer Service (DCS) in July 2025.
In this key leadership role, you will oversee the integrity of financial transactions within our reporting system, manage reconciliations to the general ledger and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
You’ll act as the main link between Finance Shared Services, Financial Reporting teams and clients, while also coordinating system upgrades, incident testing, and manage audit requests and recommendations.
As a people-focused leader, you’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day team operations, planning and prioritising workloads, and fostering a collaborative and adaptable work environment. Your expertise in financial governance, internal controls, and stakeholder engagement will play a vital role in strengthening our financial operations and supporting strategic objectives across the department. If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact through strong leadership and sound financial management, we’d love to hear from you.
