Candidates for this role should have 10+ years of combined experience in finance and/or financial systems, along with solid expertise in FP&A or a comparable function. They should be self-starters with solid work ethic and a solid foundation in finance and accounting. Primary Responsibilities: Lead the forecasting and budgeting cycle for Optum Tech by partnering with cross functional teams to build detailed budgets and forecasts Interpret complex data sets to identify key drivers impacting the budget and forecast, and effectively communicate insights to stakeholders Analyze financial information and develop financial models to support strategic and operational decision making Collaborate with key business partners and FP&A stakeholders to refine expense assumptions, share insights, and evaluate scenario sensitivities Deliver recurring expense forecasts, variance analyses, and performance explanations while working closely with cross functional teams Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with clear insights and actionable recommendations Create and maintain financial reporting frameworks to communicate actuals, forecasted results, and variances against plan, forecast, and budget Partner with business leaders to develop and recommend strategies, plans, and processes that enhance profitability and cost efficiency Conduct Forecast vs actual analysis, investigate material variances, and provide comprehensive variance commentaries Produce month end reporting packs, variance reports, and Monthly Business Review (MBR) presentations Execute cost management initiatives and perform trend and driver based analysis Exhibit solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with excellent modeling, analytical, and communication capabilities Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting - CA/ MBA (Finance) from good business school Experience developing financial reports and metrics General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles. Excellent analytical and data analysis skills Solid understanding of internal revenue, chargebacks, and passthrough methodologies Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Access, with required experience in MPWR and Hyperion SmartView/Essbase Demonstrated solid expertise in infrastructure-related charges and the underlying flow of expenses Proven superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture Proven solid communication skills with all levels within an organization Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot Working experience in Data visualization tools i.e. Power BI, Power Query / Pivot Solid MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) modeling, analytics and communication skills Proficient with MS Office tools especially Advanced Excel and MS Access.
