As part of the role, the Engineering Manager will work closely with other firmware engineering teams, and architects and leadership across various IPs in leading the designs and implementing firmware that spans pre-silicon and post-silicon for all AMD SoCs. THE PERSON: You are passionate about firmware development with creative and effective problem-solving skills, a motivated, self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in fast paced environments. You have excellent technical communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for managing and driving a team of 10+ engineers and helping achieve high goals with high energy As the position involves Engineering Management, you will need to be: Proficient in BIOS/Firmware development Experience with various BIOS areas including UEFI, Memory, I/O areas (PCIe) History of on-time delivery with high-achieving teams You will be leading an existing team of high-achieving engineers while also expanding the team to grow the company across product lines PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Multiple prior years of related firmware experience in Server BIOS/Firmware combined with technical education within the semiconductor industry Extensive Server BIOS Development knowledge/experience in UEFI as well as embedded domains to be able to lead the team in those areas. Expert level experience producing quality firmware ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent LOCATION: Taipei, Taiwan #LI-VJ1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
