Learn more about Teleport here: teleport.it Looking for a strategic logistics professional responsible for the truck vendor management, planning trucks based on cost optimization model by also balancing SLA requirements. Their primary goal is to ensure availability of trucks for first mile,mid mile and last mile pick ups ,and achieve maximum cost-efficiency A DAY IN A LIFE Operational Planning & Scheduling: Develop and optimize adhoc/fixed job allocation to the vendors by taking in account of the vendor capacity,cost optimization and defined optimum capacity utilization Key Performance Indicator Management: Establish and oversee both internal team member and external vendors KPIs, Take necessary action/escalate if the KPI is not being met on daily/weekly/monthly basis Cost Control & Budgeting: Manage the fleet budget by implementing processes to ensure the right truck size is being deployed based on the forecast requirement and vendors are being activated based on their cost. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all truck planning are being done by taking in account of local regulatory requirements - (Peak hours roadbans, Festive season roadbans etc). To have major experience in Malaysia regulations, (Indonesia, Thailand, Philiphines, India would be an added advantage) Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of 6-8 person to collectively achieve departmental goals Process and Work flow : To be able to design process and work instructions for the team members within a short span of time based on changing business needs. (Draw.io experience would be an added advantage) Data Analysis & Technology: Utilize Transport Management Software (TMS) and available data sets for analysis and continuous improvement on the decision making. To be able to analyze truck movement timestamp and other set of datas for cost optimization and reduce the risk on operations. Minimum 5 years experience with atleast 3 years on managerial role Posses at least Degree in Logistics/Tranport Management or any relevant related studies Should be flexible to travel based on business requirements Should be able to have flexible working hours upon business requirement Have experience in industry standard Transport Management System Proficiency in Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel is a must Proficiency in Looker Studio would be an added advantage
