What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Maintain the FOQA audit checklist manual and compliance monitoring program.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Manager, Safety and Quality Systems and Director, Regulatory Compliance to ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and Company-approved standards.
  • Supervise and conduct audits of company flight operations, processes, and procedures as well as other departments and functions as required, including but not limited to ground operations such as fuel and de ice equipment, safety system, occupational health and safety and dangerous goods, as well as external audit. and actively support the Flight Operations department of implementing corrective action plans including follow ups for efficiency of CAP’s.
  • Oversee and perform audit functions and prepare company checklists and other audit-related documentation.
  • Participate in the investigation, risk assessment, root cause analysis according to Rise Air’s SMS Policy and procedure manual of all safety reports assigned within the safety management system, and actively support the Flight Operations department of implementing corrective action plans including follow ups for efficiency of CAP’s.
  • Actively participate on committees and in quality and safety related meetings.
  • Make recommendations and implement mitigation plans and strategies. Assess the effectiveness of remedial actions.
  • Monitor and analyze trends identified in Flight Operations quality assurance system for continuous improvement.
  • Promote a quality- and safety-based culture by demonstrating a high level of proficiency and discipline during operational activities.

What You’ll Need:

  • Knowledge and skills required for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, and the successful completion of a university or college diploma.
  • A certified Quality Auditor designation is a requirement. Past auditing experience will be considered an asset.
  • Formal training in Aviation Risk Management with a minimum of 3 years of aviation experience with a working knowledge and understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations safety management is preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
