Description

As part of the Carter Funds Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you will partner with various departments to support and directly contribute to Carter Funds’ growth and operations by providing financial planning, reporting and analytical support.
The Manager, FP&A should remain flexible in a constantly changing environment. Leveraging their strong analytical capability and attention to detail, hey will develop financial forecasts, track performance metrics, and model business scenarios to inform key strategic and operational decisions and help drive the performance of the growing business. This role will be the finance partner to various departments, with regular exposure to senior leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in finance, alternative investments, corporate strategy, or similar environment.
  • Strong experience working with spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) and other database, automation, or business intelligence skills (e.g., SQL).
  • Excellent communicator
  • A good understanding of accrual accounting, accounting processes and terminology.
  • Accomplished problem solving, financial modeling and analysis skills.
  • Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • Exhibit sound business judgment and ability to re-prioritize demands, aligned with business and/or financial priorities.
Responsibilities

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and planning cycles and financial deliverables in order to drive visibility into business performance and resource planning decisions.

  • Generate insights into drivers of costs and user metrics; identify risks and opportunities with actionable recommendations
  • Deliver executive-ready presentations with robust analysis, insights, and actions
  • Work cross-functionally with business, accounting, and corporate finance teams

Support CFO and FP&A Manager in our equity offerings, including:

  • Developing supporting financial models for new Funds
  • Compiling metrics and performance results to be used in private placement memorandums and other offering materials
  • Work with company attorneys and senior leadership to develop and review offering materials
