Description JOB SUMMARY The Manager, FP&A for CHG Group, Inc. (CHGi) is responsible for leading the FP&A activities for the Company and assisting the CFO on implementing reporting and process improvement initiatives across the U.S. business units (BU). Focus will be on driving CHGi’s financial planning and analysis function with an emphasis on performance improvement; providing quality management information; and furthering the development of scalable reporting systems and processes, analytical tools, and key performance metrics. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Lead CHGi’s financial planning and analysis function with an emphasis on providing accurate, relevant and timely financial analysis Build complex analytical tools to consolidate financial information across the U.S. business units to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and potential threats Formulate and organize data into digestible reports for executives and other stakeholders Consolidate and analyze annual organizational budgets and long-range financial projections in support of Chemring Group PLC’s strategic planning processes Monitor financial progress against budgets including monthly forecasting and reporting to PLC within strict deadlines Prepare and share monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. Monitor the company's performance in context of external and internal benchmarks for all tracked KPIs. Provide data and trends of organizational performance that progress the understanding of the business Work directly with U.S. BUs to educate and support them in developing their strategic plans, budgets and forecasts Research and investigate financial and operational performance variances and assist business leaders in taking appropriate corrective actions Serve as the recognized subject matter expert of the Cognos Controller corporate consolidation software to assist the BUs with proficiency for accurate and timely reporting Support M&A modeling and financial due diligence, business case analysis, etc. Research competitive analysis for industry benchmarking OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Comply with all government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures Ensure compliance with the Chemring Operational Framework, Code of Conduct and U.S. Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Special projects and other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY N/A Requirements EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related business discipline MBA is a plus EXPERIENCE Minimum of 7 years of relevant Finance and Accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility A strong track record of reporting and financial analysis in a public or private equity company with a monthly actual and forecast reporting cadence required, preferably in a manufacturing or product environment Minimum two years of experience in government contractor cost accounting SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance Comprehensive understanding of government contractor accounting regulations Must be able to collaborate and communicate across all functional areas of the business constructively and efficiently within a fast paced, manufacturing intensive environment Acute attention to detail, accuracy and accountability balanced with sound business judgment Effective understanding, analysis and reporting of key metrics Self-starter with a high sense of urgency and ability to prioritize Willingness to roll-up-sleeves and work in the trenches while teaching those around you Capable of independent analysis with strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to multi-task and deal effectively with ambiguity and tight deadlines Must be a team-player with experience in a cross-functional environment Working knowledge of ERP systems and databases Experience using IBM Cognos Controller preferred Advanced skills in Excel and able to build executive level presentations in PowerPoint Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of weight frequently. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Use of computer. Travel occasionally, up to 20%.
