We are looking for a Manager FP&A & Controlling (m/f/d) to join our Finance team in Frankfurt and play a key role in building the financial management of our group. This role is a central function within our group and an essential component of our buy-and-build model: You will create transparency regarding the financial and operational performance of our portfolio companies, identify areas for improvement, and work with Operations and Management to ensure that these are translated into concrete measures.

Your tasks

Development and improvement of our budgeting, forecasting and planning processes
Responsibility for a reliable 13-week cash forecast as well as medium- and long-term liquidity planning.
Ensuring transparency regarding revenue, costs, EBITDA and cash at the group and port company levels.
Analysis of Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast and derivation of concrete measures to optimize company performance
Development of relevant KPIs and benchmarks
Regularly challenging our portfolio companies regarding budgets, cost structures and operational performance
Close collaboration with VP Finance, Operations, HR and the managing directors of our portfolio companies
Independently requesting and structuring the required data

Your profile

4–6 years of professional experience in FP&A, controlling, performance management
Completed studies in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a comparable field
Very good understanding of P&L, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting
Knowledge of German Commercial Code (HGB) and a good understanding of accounting principles are required to confidently combine controlling and accounting perspectives.
Very good German and English skills
Strong analytical skills and very good Excel skills
High ownership standards and a hands-on mentality
Strong communication skills and the ability to constructively and consistently challenge operational managers.
Excellent handling of ERP systems, analysis tools and financial management software such as Loyos BI.
Ideally, experience in a PE-backed, multi-site, buy-and-build, or service company.
