Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Situated on the London trading floor, the Front Office and Client Support team is the first line of defence for ANZ Markets. The core function of the team is to minimise financial and/or regulatory issues that could arise from workflow failures, trade capture errors, settlement delays and technology issues impacting the bank. As a point of escalation, the role will require constant interaction with Sales, Trading, our Operations hub, Technology, Finance and Risk teams.

As a Manager - Front Office and Client Support, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Regional oversight of the Markets Rates and Fixed Income support team, providing a local point of escalation
  • Timely and accurate capture into risk management platforms, ensuring risk and P/L is in line with expectations
  • Ensure trade flow and regulatory exceptions are dealt with on a timely basis and escalated where required
  • Clear and concise communication with internal and external clients, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of queries
  • Participate and contribute in various strategic initiatives; continuously improving and evolving processes and business architecture
  • Ensure controls and processes are completed diligently and signed off in a timely manner
  • Develop and share knowledge within the team, other enablement functions and our operations tea

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Extensive Rates, Credit and/or Fixed Income experience in a Middle Office/Trade Support role within an investment bank or similar environment. Prior experience managing direct reports advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital to working within the firm’s demanding and focused environment.
  • Strong organisational skills - Proficient at multi-tasking within tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities, contribute to change management strategy and implementation.
  • Strong technical skills required - Knowledge of internal and market capture platforms, products, and Operational processes.
  • Strong Excel skills required, with additional MS applications and programming skills being a plus.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders including Front Office, Operations and enablement functions. External stakeholders include clients, brokers and market platforms.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of securities and swap clearing, custody and/or current market initiatives
