REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Exceptional analytic and problem solving issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in R, RShiny, SQL
  • Familiarity with data engineering processes

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Master’s degree in management information management systems, computer science, data science, public health, epidemiology or related field
  • 2 years of managing large research datasets such as NIS, HCUP, SEER, SEER-Medicare, Premier/PincAI PHD, Marketscan/Truven/Merative Claims, Optum MarketClarity.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Doctorate Degree in management information management systems, computer science, data science, public health, epidemiology, health services research or related field.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates real world data assets to establish whether they fulfill a gap for teams working in real world evidence generation
  • Work with Procurement & Purchasing to negotiate data asset acquisition and renew contracts
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure timely loading of newly acquired datasets and data refreshes
  • Retrieve, maintain, and update the external large database in Azure and/or Snowflake (the internal cloud based data warehouse); Work with DE&A team for hosting the external large database in house.
  • Set up the raw database by key clinical procedures to enable the automation process of customer analytics solutions. Update the clinical procedure data files according to the data renewal schedule.
  • Set up the data-backed database for based on project needs from Health Economics and Outcomes Research; clean the data and generate new variables needed for specific projects.
  • Validate the code lists of diagnosis, procedures and surgical approaches for key procedures. Document the evolvement of the code lists.
  • Develop and validate programming for different algorithms of data analysis; Maintain and update the programming algorithms.
  • Develop, manage and track the data templates in Outcome Analyzer and R code banks.
  • Develop working instructions/ training guidelines and oversee revisions /updates to current WIs/training guidelines for statistical programming activities
  • Create Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP), and shells for tables, listings and figures for projects.
  • Quality control checks of data
  • Partner and manage vendors for database, analytic platform, and code list work.
