Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Responsible for dismantling systems of inequity to ensure access to programming and create equitable systems and structures for gifted, talented and high potential learners
  • Responsible for State reporting and grant support, including the monitoring of the District’s Gifted and Talented program by Colorado Department of Education.
  • Supports implementation of District-wide equitable culturally responsive identification and programming of gifted and high potential learners
  • Creates and reports on comprehensive performance measures to monitor the effectiveness of the program and department projects
  • Performs supervisory duties, including, but not limited to: hiring, training, delegating and evaluating educators
  • Coordinates and facilitates culturally responsive gifted education professional development to support teachers’ continuous learning and improvement of practice related to culturally responsive equitable gifted education
  • Develop, facilitate and maintain relationships and partnerships with various internal stakeholders
  • Creates and fosters relationships with families and community partners around access and opportunities within programming and identification for students of all ages
  • Monitors and ensures all applicable regulatory and procedural compliance
  • Assists in developing the department’s equity focused budget(s) and grants, manages financial reporting and ensures program-related databases are accurately maintainedPerform other duties as assigned
