The Wendy’s Technology organization enables fast, frictionless and fun experiences for our millions of customers, franchise community and over 7,000 restaurants worldwide. As Wendy’s continues to invest heavily into technology, the Global Technology FP&A team plays a critical role in the planning, analysis, execution and measuring the return on these investments. The Manager – Global Technology FP&A will partner with the Restaurant & Digital Technology Team to provide thorough financial analysis on new projects, in order to support decision making and provide visibility into all costs and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage components of the Annual Operating Plan and maintain detailed financial forecasts. Gather inputs from business partners and maintain running list of risks & opportunities for areas of responsibility. Prepare and present monthly financial reporting and explain significant variances to business partners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our processes for benefit of our team and/or IT partners and recommend prioritization to manager. Conduct planning activities, including savings estimates, and lead projects through to completion with cross functional partners. Examples could include building automated reports in BI tools or leveraging our financial systems to simplify / standardize processes.
  • Manage 1 direct report, provide training and development, conduct performance appraisals, and recommend year-end performance ratings.
  • Prepare financial analysis related to Restaurant & Digital Technology Innovation projects and partner with Technology leaders to build business cases to support decision making / prioritization. Estimate up-front investments as well multi-year costs and benefits and measure return on investments. Use judgment to identify and resolve technical, operational & organizational problems, with guidance from manager on complex issues.
  • Maintain billing file for Technology Fee program, which is used by Accounting to issue quarterly invoices to restaurants across the globe.
