JOB SUMMARY
In general, the Trusted Trader is responsible for Cardinal Health’s Tier III CTPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) and PIP (Partners in Protection) programs and will partner with other departments to ensure Cardinal remains compliant with program requirements via training, SOP development, site reviews and audits, regular communication, business partner screenings, and other relevant activities.
The Trusted Trader requires extensive knowledge of CTPAT/PIP program requirements and requires the background, experience, and leadership skills necessary to foster a culture of compliance, manage timelines, standardize processes and procedures, lead audits, implement process improvements, conduct risk assessments, and perform mitigation activities. The position requires regular, professional communication with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), and internal senior leaders. The Trusted Trader must comfortably collaborate with various Cardinal Health businesses and functions as well as other business partners to ensure that all program requirements are met.
This position will also support additional areas such as broker management, duty analysis, and bond sufficiency reviews as needed.
This position reports to the Director, Global Trade Compliance.
