Lead governance, internal audit, risk and compliance initiatives Provide expert advice and influence senior stakeholders on complex governance matters About the Role The Manager Governance is responsible for developing and embedding key governance frameworks, standards and practices across NSW Electoral Commission, whilst balancing critical election operational deliverables and risks. In this position, you will provide expert advice to senior leaders, managing NSWEC’s internal audit program and compliance activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting key governance requirements. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, sound judgement, and the ability to lead and coach a small team through sensitive and complex issues in a fast-paced environment. This position is an Ongoing Full-time position. Professional experience in governance, internal audit, risk management and/or internal compliance. Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders in a complex environment. No affiliations with political parties, candidates, elected members, this-party campaigners, donors or registered lobbyists that could undermine the political impartiality of the Electoral Commission or that are otherwise inconsistent with its Political Neutrality Policy. Satisfactory Criminal Record check result.
