Responsibilities

As Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of Grain to Go Ambleside – ensuring the highest standards of food quality, customer service, and operational efficiency. This is a varied role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness, and a love of hospitality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership – recruit, train, motivate and manage a small team to deliver excellent service.
  • Customer Experience – ensure every guest receives warm, professional service and restaurant-quality food on the go.
  • Operations Management – oversee stock control, ordering, cash handling, rotas, and compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
  • Quality Control – maintain the highest standards of food presentation, freshness, and consistency.
  • Standards & Compliance – ensure full adherence to licensing, food safety, and company policies.
  • Hands-On Involvement – be visible on the floor, leading by example and supporting your team during busy service.
