ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a strategic and experienced Manager Grants and Investments to lead the administration and delivery of state and Commonwealth funding programs focused on disaster risk reduction, preparedness, and recovery.
This is a pivotal role within the NSW Reconstruction Authority, ensuring best practice governance, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement across the grant lifecycle. You are someone who brings a sharp strategic lens, strong governance instincts, and a collaborative spirit. You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • Proven experience managing complex grants and funding programs in a dynamic, politically sensitive environment.
  • Deep understanding of the NSW Grants Administration Guide and best practice grant management principles.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to oversee robust reporting systems and ensure accurate allocation tracking.
  • A proactive approach to risk management and performance monitoring across multiple funding streams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and drive outcomes across government and community partners.
  • Experience supporting Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) frameworks to enhance accountability and continuous improvement.
  • A track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • A commitment to public value and community resilience through effective funding delivery
