ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Manager, Group Fundraising & Activations, will build and oversee group activations that support EOCF’s one-to-many fundraising programs (third-party fundraising and memberships) while securing impactful programming through external partners in Fan Park. These programs are designed to drive recurring general revenue growth, expand the donor database, demonstrate the tangible impact of our initiatives, and strengthen both the EOCF and Oilers brands by fostering deeper community engagement.
YOUR FOCUS IN THIS ROLE:
Third-Party Fundraising:
- Support the development and execute a comprehensive third-party fundraising strategy to engage community groups, businesses, and individuals in organizing their own fundraising events.
- Support the creation of a resource toolkit to empower and support third-party fundraisers, offering guidance on event planning and promotion.
- Be accountable for third-party fundraising revenue, bringing in new external partners, organizations, and community groups to expand fundraising efforts and meet revenue goals.
- Actively cultivate and manage relationships with third-party fundraisers, ensuring they have the resources and support necessary to succeed and grow their contributions.
Membership Program:
- Launch and grow an EKDaS membership program, encouraging monthly or annual giving to build a sustainable revenue stream.
- Develop targeted communication strategies to engage members, ensuring they are regularly informed about the impact of their contributions and the benefits of their membership.
- Collaborate with Hockey Engagement, Alumni and OEG to offer unique, member-exclusive experiences tied to the Oilers brand, fostering loyalty and deeper connections with the team and community.
Fan Park Activation:
- Develop and oversee activations that bring together community groups, newcomers, and sports to create vibrant, recurring events at Fan Park.
- Collaborate closely with Hockey Engagement and OEG teams to ensure that Fan Park activations are aligned with broader organizational goals and leverage existing initiatives, creating a unified and impactful experience for fans and the community.
- Secure external partners and organizations to host programs and events in Fan Park, maximizing the use of this space.
Revenue Growth and Impact:
- Track and report on key performance indicators, including revenue growth from third-party fundraisers and memberships, and the success of Fan Park activations.
- Ensure all group activation programs align with EOCF’s broader mission of making a tangible impact in the community through initiatives like Every Kid Deserves a Shot (EKDaS).
Relationship Building and Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with community organizations, corporate partners, and third-party fundraisers to foster collaboration and long-term support for EOCF programs.
- Work closely with internal teams to integrate group activations into overall revenue development and community engagement strategies.
