Description
You will be part of a dynamic team in Group Operations responsible for the oversight and management of the Great Eastern Regional Operations Functions. We aspire to create an operations division that creates sustainable business values to the company, its customers and sales representatives as we strive for excellence in the way we do our business with them. Beyond that, you will also be tasked with delivering on the Group Operations Division strategy objectives through continuous improvement and the deployment of new technology Key responsibilities: · Support the development of effective strategies for Group Operations comprising Customer Service, Underwriting and Claims departments across the Group, with strong focus on delivering customer service excellence; · Monitor and maintain active oversight of regional operations functions and areas of accountability to operate within allowable limits, to ensure that all entities of Great Eastern have consistent operational processes; · Support Group oversight of the in-scope departments, processes and regional entities to ensure compliance to the Group Operations Policy, and other related company's policies and guidelines by conducting reviews / quality checks on various operations functions and workflows; · Improving operations standards in accordance with the governance and compliance policies of Great Eastern to achieve growth and improvement in operational efficiency; · Ensure the effective management of all aspects of insurance operations across the Group, including but not limited to, the preparation of management reports, budgets, product approvals and the tracking of Division key performance metrics. · Independently manage the audits (internal and external), attend to enquiries and ensure adherence / timely completion of audit recommendations; · Demonstrates risk awareness of business decisions made, in consideration for the company's reputation and branding; · Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks; · Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and appropriate steps to mitigate the risks; · Highlight any potential concerns/risks and proactively shares best risk management practices; and · Provide support to the Division and handle any other ad-hoc assignments as assigned by the Supervisor. · Degree in Insurance, Business or equivalent professional qualifications, preferably possess insurance certification (i.e. M9, M5 and Health Insurance) · Minimum 5 years of working experience in operations audit and/or in the area of compliance and risk management in insurance industry. · Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
