Responsibilities

Gyptech is seeking a Manager, Hardware Design, to lead our Electrical Hardware Design team. Your role will:

  • Overseeing, motivating and providing direction to the Hardware Design Team.
  • Determining staffing requirements for optimal management and project delivery.
  • Participating in all phases of the design, development, and implementation of projects.
  • Researching and analyzing requirements and technical specifications to satisfy the end-user.
  • Interfacing with customers, vendors and managers to determine project scope, requirements, deliverables, budget, costing and schedules.
  • Reviewing designs with our fabrication shop and others to ensure consistent design, fabrication and quality specifications.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to improve systems and processes in support of the company’s strategic vision.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase production, quality and safety.
  • Establishing a positive, healthy and safe work environment.
  • Providing onsite installation, troubleshooting, commissioning and maintenance support for our equipment in the field.
  • Supporting sales with pre-engineering and costing estimates.

This position is based out of our head office in Burlington with a requirement for occasional international travel.
