Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Drug Health Services (DHS) aims to reduce the harms associated with substance use for individuals, families and communities and to prevent drug misuse. Our Mission is to deliver evidence based and patient centred care in collaboration with other health and non-health partners to improve the health outcomes of individuals, their families and broader community. Services are provided at Canterbury, Concord Repatriation General and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals and at Canterbury, Marrickville and Redfern Health Centres. Selected programs offer services in community and via approved outreach arrangements.
In this role, you will be expected to have demonstrated management experience of frontline drug and alcohol services who work in the community. You will provide clinical and operational leadership in settings across Sydney Local Health District in line with Ministry of Health policy and guidelines and evidence-based practice. You will pursue the optimal performance of 3 programs, including the Substance Use in Pregnancy & Parenting service, Assertive Case Management team & Assertive Community Outreach Team, through effective leadership of multidisciplinary teams and the collaborative development of strategic alliances with relevant stakeholders including consumers, health services, other government departments/agencies and private and non-government organisations.
