JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as leader for the Healthcare Preparedness Coalition (HPC)) that serves multiple counties with a region of a state. The manager serves as the liaison to the state Office of Emergency Medical Services or HPP division. Specifically responsible for coordination of all activities of the coalition in a manner consistent with the guidelines set forth by the US Department of Health and Human Services (US DHHS), Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) and the North Carolina Department of Health Service Regulators (NC DHSR) through the NC Office of EMS (NCOEMS). The HPC leader has responsibility for leading the planning and execution of Emergency Management preparedness and response, which includes hospitals, county: Emergency Management, Public Health and Emergency medical services and the state medical response system. Responsibilities include oversight of the purchase, maintenance, and deployment of million+ value in emergency assets to support state, region operations, community support and patient care during a crisis and overall operational. The HPC leader directs the overall day-to-day healthcare coalition activities for the region to include supporting inner department teammates and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Hospital Preparedness Program to assess risk, minimize loss and protect our communities, region, and state. The HPC leader acts on behalf of the region to make decisions, communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies Major Responsibilities
