Job Details Job Location: 24012 CALLE DE LA PLATA STE 400 - LAGUNA HILLS, CA 92653 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Not Specified Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 Salary/year Job Category: Management The Manager of Operations – Home Care will plan, organize, evaluate the operation to ensure the delivery of excellent care and services while using expert leadership skills to expand and grow the agency. RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises the entire organizational operation. Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates operations to ensure the provision of adequate and appropriate care and services. Ensures that the program is in full compliance with its policies and procedures with all state and federal agencies (CA DHSS, HCO Regulations). Undertakes fiscal planning by budgeting and managing operations in accordance with established fiscal parameters. Consistently markets and promotes Home Care Services to ensure annual growth Develops, implements and continuously refines a long-range strategic plan for the Home Care Program. Recruits, employs and retains qualified personnel to maintain appropriate staffing levels and excellent levels of home care services. Establishes and maintains effective channels of communication, maintaining a liaison with the Governing Body. Ensures staff development including orientation, in-service education, continuing education and evaluation of staff. Assures appropriate staff supervision during all operating hours. Assures the development and qualifications of professional services and the assignment of personnel. Completes performance evaluations on subordinate staff in accordance with agency policy Plans, develops, implements administers and evaluates program. Approves all monthly billing and payroll for the Home Care Program. Appoints a similarly qualified alternate to be available at all times during operating hours in the absence of the manager. Inform the governing body and staff of current organizational, community, and industry trends. CONTINUING PROGRAM EVALUATION Participates in the review, analysis and appraisal of the effectiveness of the total agency program. Evaluates service policies and functions and recommend proposals for changes or study of problems which affect the agency. Evaluates the performance of the individuals in the program to establish standards and the individual’s professional development. Implements all utilization review activities. Coordinates the timely implementation of corrective action plans and controls. MEETS FEDERAL AND STATE REQUIREMENTS Familiar with federal and state regulations and maintain them in the agency. Responsible for familiarizing the employees with all laws and regulations and makes available copies of the rules available for their use. Responsible for the completion, maintenance and submission of such reports and records as required. Designates a professional employee to be his/her authorized representative in his/her absence. Maintains a current organizational chart to show lines of authority to the client level. Clearly identify public services provided by the agency in the geographic area in which these services are available. Maintains office facility for the agency, which is large enough for efficient staff work, adequately equipped, and which provides for a safe working environment, meeting local ordinances and fire regulations. Ensures the accuracy of public information materials and activities. Develop cooperative relationships with other agencies for the exchange of information and services and with community agencies to foster an understanding of agency programs. Contact local, state and national associations and participate in meetings and conventions. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS A health care professional with training and experience in health service administration. A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration or similar field of study is preferred. At least 5 years of experience in home care, private duty, environmental support or related health programs. Must possess the skills to deal with conflict resolution/grievances for families and clients. Must have technology skills, desktop-laptop computer proficiency; Microsoft Office/Outlook, internet and email. Must meet initial and ongoing educational requirements as stipulated by the State.
