  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources/Compensation and Benefits
  • 5+ years experience at management level, in an industrial relations role with exposure to remuneration and legal
  • Proven experience in industrial relations in large/complex multi-union organisations.
  • Experience in the formulation of medium and long term industrial relations strategies and behavioural and cultural chang

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE: ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Manager HR Industrial Relations to develop the Emirates Group’s global industrial relations strategy for Emirates outstations and dnata International entities across all employment groups and locations. The Manager HR Industrial Relations will focus and drive the management and successful conclusion of formal employment bargaining agreements with unions, staff and any other formal employee bodies providing guidance and proactive management of employee related issues that may be deemed precursors to union recognition. The Manager HR Industrial Relations will also research and develop an understanding of comparable practices both within and outside the airline industry, to ensure any agreements entered by the Emirates Group are appropriately positioned.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Design, develop and deliver an over-arching industrial relations strategy for the Emirates Group.
  • Steer the development of industrial relations policies, processes and tools to instil change in the management of industrial relation activity at all levels of the organization.
  • Develop strategies to enable knowledge transfer in employee relations practices across the group and across HR Business Partnership including building capabilities in employment legislation and industrial agreements.
  • As a subject matter expert guide and support HR Business Partners and line managers in negotiations with Trade Unions on all matters relating to collective bargaining and industrial relations issues.
  • Build and maintain robust communication channels with senior business stakeholders and Corporate Communications to ensure brand risk is identified and mitigated.
  • Determine and drive bargaining processes and legislative compliance to ensure robust outcomes of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Manage the regular review of existing collective bargaining agreements to identify and mitigate Industrial Relations risk. Develop a network with Industrial Relation practitioners (both within and outside the airline industry) to build IR capability and share good practice.
  • Conduct market research to ensure Emirates Group companies are aware of local and global trends and able to actively manage Industrial Relations risk and opportunity.
