Our Global Operating Center located in Manila is pivotal to enhancing the Firm’s operational efficiency and streamlining legal and business services support across our global network. Position Summary The Manager, HRIS Testing will work in partnership with our Functional teams and Technology to align with existing W&C testing standards and safely manage changes to our data and processes. Once the right Testing standards are implemented, the role will then expand to supporting our Change control, Data Quality and Continuous Improvement processes across all our Production environments, even beyond Workday. The incumbent will provide guidance, mentoring and advisory support to colleagues involved in testing and change activities, helping build testing capability within HR, HRIS and related functions. They will prepare and deliver clear documentation and communications on testing standards, releases, defects, data quality and change-related decisions for stakeholders and governance forums. Duties and Accountabilities1 Testing standards and governance • Define, implement and maintain HRIS testing standards for Workday and other HR systems including strategies, templates, SOPs, KPIs and reporting Use Jira as the central tool to plan, track and report testing scope, progress, defects, risks and decisions, and support CAB and Design Authority activities with clear testing impact assessments and recommendations Develop a coherent HRIS testing strategy and multi-phase plan to deliver it, covering test libraries, environments, roles and responsibilities, tools and automation opportunities Contribute to the evolution of change control processes across HR Production environments, with an initial focus on testing assurance and potential expansion into broader change control responsibilities. BAU and Phase X testing: Lead hands-on planning and coordination of Workday testing across sprints, BAU changes and enhancements, ensuring impact assessment, test coverage, execution and sign-off before Production deployment Plan and manage testing for Workday bi-annual releases, including collaboration on tenant management, regression strategy, stakeholder coordination and results / risks communication Provide guidance, mentoring and advisory support to colleagues involved in testing and change activities, helping build testing capability within HR, HRIS and related functions Data quality, risk management and continuous improvement: Plan and conduct regular data quality checks and audits in Workday and downstream systems, with emphasis on data flowing to payroll and other critical external systems Perform root cause analysis of recurring data and process issues, define corrective and preventive actions and coordinate their implementation to reduce incidents and rework Design and implement data quality monitoring routines and controls, and work with HROD and other stakeholders to align testing and data quality efforts with wider continuous improvement initiatives and networks. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Required Experience: Significant experience in HRIS testing or HR technology quality assurance in a complex global environment, with strong functional and technical knowledge of Workday (including configurations, integrations, security, tenant management and releases) Hands-on experience planning and leading end-to-end testing for Workday (sprints, BAU changes and bi-annual releases) using Jira for test and defect management. Technical Skills: Proven ability to design and implement testing standards, templates, SOPs and KPIs, and to develop a clear testing strategy and delivery plan for HRIS Experience with other HR systems such as Kronos, v.i. suite or ServiceNow and familiarity with test automation concepts and tools. Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills, with experience in data quality management, audits and root cause analysis for HR or payroll data Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a track record of aligning HR, Technology, vendors and leadership, and mentoring or coaching colleagues or leading testing workstreams without direct line authority Self-starter with the ability to operate independently, take ownership and act as a go-getter in shaping and executing the HRIS testing and continuous improvement agenda. Location and Reporting This role is currently a direct contributor role but could be expanded to managing a team based on the needs of the Business and the evolution of the team.
