This role is part of Alcon's Human Resources function, a team that collaborates across the business to shape company culture, manage talent, align associates to our purpose, and support associate development to help our people and the world see brilliantly. The Manager, Human Resources is primarily responsible for developing and implementing HR services, advising leaders on policies, managing operations, and handling recruitment and succession planning. You will also act as an expert in data protection, engage in crisis management, and provide strategic advice. Specifics include: • Maintain in-depth knowledge of local talent and coach managers to accelerate talent readiness. • Provide a deep understanding of local business needs, contribute the HR point of view into business issues, and support diagnostic interventions for local solutions. • Collaborate regularly with HR COEs and HR Services for solution design and service delivery. • Align with enterprise-level initiatives. • Deliver Alcon’s core HR services and people processes, ensuring an optimal associate experience. • Drive business success by coaching teams on associate experience initiatives, such as the Associate Experience Dashboard and Recognition programs. • Ensure timely execution of all people-related processes. • Implement global, regional, or local HR programs. • Mentor business leaders and associates on HR-related topics, including change management, talent management, employee relations, and career development. • Drive a high-quality, diverse local talent bench through selection, equitable compensation, and talent development. • Apply workforce analytics and insights to improve people and workforce management. Education: Bachelor’s degree Experience/Professional Requirement: 5 years HRBP experience gained working in a multi-national organization, preferrable healthcare Experience in working with leaders in the design, development, and execution of human resources initiatives including talent management, training and development, succession planning, recruitment, employee relations and performance management. Complete understanding and use of human resources planning concepts/principles, with particular emphasis on talent management/development planning. Developed knowledge of workforce planning and policy development. Thorough knowledge of employee relations, including human resources legal and regulatory issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively advise, consult, and communicate with all levels of management (local, regional, and corporate). Strong consulting and collaborative skills. Ability to manage change and inspire leaders and associates to embrace change. Ability to take initiative and make decisions under pressure where required. Strategic thinking and analytical skills. Strong MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills. Supervision of employees performing in a similar or related role.
