Role: Manager, Human Resources (Full Time 1.0FTE, 14-month contract)
Report to: Chief Executive Officer

DESCRIPTION:

The Manager, Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources including payroll, full cycle recruitment, policy development, health and safety, training and development, and regulatory compliance. This position ensures the development, implementation and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives that align with organizational strategic priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Must have or be working towards the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a Human Resources Generalist capacity
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of multiple human resource areas and applicable legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience in leading Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives
  • Proficiency in HRIS, Payroll systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in healthcare considered an asset
  • Familiarity with the Canadian College of Health Leaders LEADS in a Caring Environment framework considered an asse
Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding
  • Create and implement human resource policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements
  • Advise and support leadership team on all human resources matters, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and health and safety
  • Support workplace wellness priorities by developing and implementing strategies to support individual and team well-being
  • Identifies best practices in human resources and opportunities to improve existing practices and procedures
  • Manage employee group benefit program and pension plan (HOOPP)
  • Maintain accurate employee data entry and support the Finance Coordinator in payroll updates
  • Participate and chair relevant committees
  • Oversee student and volunteer recruitment, including updating affiliation agreements with colleges and universities
  • Demonstrate discretion and uphold confidentiality in all HR matters
  • Track employee attendance and related leaves
  • Maintain records in compliance with applicable policies and legislation
