Description Central Conveyor Company, a subsidiary of U.S. Tsubaki Holdings, Inc., is a turn-key Systems Integrator with a complete portfolio of conveyance solutions and products for the Automotive, Parcel & Logistics, and Warehouse & Distribution markets. The Human Resources Manager provides strategic and operational support to the organization in all facets of Human Resources. Provides oversight for Payroll processing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed. Develops strategic Human Resources initiatives to support the organization’s growth. Actively engages with business leadership in strategy development and organizational development. Serves as liaison with Corporate headquarters to implement and ensure compliance with company-wide policies and procedures. Is a change agent for the organization building support for existing and new initiatives. Advises and provides guidance to managers/supervisors on policy and procedures. Thoroughly and expeditiously investigates a variety of employee relations situations, including but not limited to answering employee inquiries, investigating complaints, conflict resolution, employee and/or manager counseling. Stays current with Federal and State regulatory changes. Identifies strategies for organizational, departmental and individual training and development. Develops and presenting employee training programs. Identified developmental needs in relation to evolving succession plans. Manages full recruitment cycle. Develops strategies for recruitment and retention of talent. Actively pursues recruitment networking opportunities for active and passive positions. Engages multiple medias to identify and attract qualified candidates. Oversees hiring process ensuring post-offer, pre-employment requirements are satisfactorily met. Oversees on-boarding to ensure a positive experience for all new hires. Reviews compensation for employees as needed. Administers Performance Management program to ensure effective utilization of the semi-annual process. Provides training to managers and supervisors to attain effective performance appraisals. Provides guidance to managers and supervisors with developing Performance Improvement Plans for employees. Counsels managers and supervisors on employee discipline, including progressive discipline. Recommends appropriate disciplinary action based on circumstance. Is knowledgeable on Federal and State leave requirements. Oversees Leave of Absence Management. Supervises payroll processing, ensuring accuracy. Is knowledgeable on all aspects of payroll processing. Supervises management of union fringe reporting ensuring timely and accurate submittals. Oversees union employee benefit management. Is knowledgeable on company benefits and conducts and oversees annual Open Enrollment meetings. Develops Human Resources staff to meet organizational needs. Leads special projects and/or is a member of project teams as assigned. Other tasks/functions/projects as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field Seven to 10 years’ experience in Human Resources, with progressive levels of responsibility. Two to five years’ supervisory experience/payroll processing experience required. Three to five years’ supervisory experience required. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred. Experience with union environment, including field trade unions is a plus. Experience with organizational development and employee retention desirable. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments and Corporate Headquarters. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and comfortably communicate and empathize with employees at all levels. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work. Ability to confidently make decisions of consequence by drawing on experience and knowledge. Excellent time management skills required in a fast pace environment. Ability to maintain and handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work independently. Must demonstrate excellent judgment and decision making, with the ability to analyze situations and present appropriate resolution(s). Attention to detail and accuracy highly critical in this role.
