DESCRIPTION:

This position provides coordination and oversight for all Human Resources related activities for the company to include but not limited to: recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, compensation, benefits, discipline, record keeping and employee training documentation. This individual works closing with managers and supervisors on all staffing and employee-related matters and is responsible for keeping Sr. Management appraised of all employees related issues and events. This individual must also follow all department and company policies and procedures to include but not limited to: Quality and Food Safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, CPF General Safety & Work Rules.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Colleges Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of previous Human Resources generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information with the ability to exercise discretion and show good judgment; honesty, integrity, and trust building behaviors.
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Experience handling senior HR functions, such as complex employee relations issues, investigating and responding to external charges and internal complaints, interacting with legal advisors on HR-related concerns, training managers on complex or sensitive HR issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • HRMS/HRIS experience.
    Compensation: $80K plus bonus

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates all recruitment and hiring activities to ensure positions are filled with qualified personnel in a timely manner.
  • Serves as primary contact to assist in resolving employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Oversees progressive discipline policy ensures consistency throughout the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide employee relations support for routine matters as they relate to benefits, payroll and other HR items.
  • Oversees New Employee Orientation Program.
  • In conjunction with the Employee Activities Committee, coordinates special events, i.e., holiday luncheons, holiday gift cards distributions etc.
  • Ensures required records are maintained for all employee training.
  • Oversees the maintenance of employee personnel files.
  • Oversees all employee benefit programs.
  • Participates and prepares documents for all audits and other authorized requests for information.
  • Oversees and maintains employee probationary and annual performance review programs.
  • Maintains CPF guidebook policies, making sure of compliance and consistency application of policies.
  • Ensures HR and Payroll systems are maintained with accurate and complete information.
  • Participates in developing and/or coordinating training for front line supervisors and employees as needed or requested.
