Description:
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED AS A HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER AT XPO
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 years in HR in complex environments, preferably in manufacturing
- Experience with change management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience leading direct reports
- Experience with HRMS and related HR software
- Able to flex your work hours to be available to second shift leaders and others, from time to time
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or a related field
- HR certification
- Strong business and financial acumen
- 3 years in a supervisory role

Responsibilities:
- Partner with local leadership to identify and implement HR interventions that have a direct impact on the profitability of the site
- Drive performance and talent management processes within the site
- Lead and develop an HR Specialist, ensuring professional HR support in each facility
- Coach and counsel management and hourly employees regarding policies and procedures, discipline, interpersonal and teamwork opportunities and investigate and resolve employee relations issues that arise within the site
- Champion strategic improvement initiatives to improve site operations
- Educate and advocate for XPO benefit programs and employee resources
- Lead change management processes to align the site HRIS systems with the broader company platforms
- Regularly partner with corporate leaders on initiatives to enhance the employee experience such as Total Rewards, Learning & Development and Talent Management
- Promote employee engagement through regular, personal contact resulting in a positive employee relations atmosphere, taking swift action to address items of concern
- Drive effective recruiting, selection and onboarding activities for salaried employees and oversee hourly hiring by HR representatives and local management
- Ensure compliance with all company, government, labor and transportation industry regulations and deliver training to maintain complianc
