ABOUT THE TEAM

The Hybrid Cloud team is comprised of two arms: Engineering and Operations. They are responsible for platform engineering in Azure, AWS and private cloud, OS management of Linux and Unix, as well as various services such as OpenAI, DNS, email and many others.

Requirements:

  • A self-motivated exceptional people leader with experience building and leading high-performing teams with members across the country and the globe
  • Strong interpersonal skills to successfully build long-term relationships with colleagues and business partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, presentation and project management skills
  • Hands-on experience with Azure; AWS or GCP are a plus
  • Experience managing vSphere, AHV, OpenShift or other hypervisors
  • Experience managing Linux at enterprise scale; Unix experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Agile / Scrum / Kanban development methodologies
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, like Gitlab, Github, Jenkins, CircleCI
  • Strong IaC & automation knowledge, i.e. Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Ansible, Puppet, Python, shell scripts, etc…
  • Hands on experience with log aggregation and monitoring tooling, such as Datadog, Splunk, Sentinel, Dynatrace, etc…
  • Experience with some of the following server technologies: HPE, Dell, IBM P series, Nutanix HCI, etc…
  • Strong knowledge of information security concepts
  • Experience supporting critical production databases, middleware and applications such as Oracle, DB2, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, Snowflake, Websphere, MQ, JBoss, Spring, SAP, etc…
  • Willingness to work occasional early or late hours
  • 3+ years in management roles, managing engineers, projects, and budgets
  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, DevOps, Agile development, architecture, consulting or cloud technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, similar field or equivalent related work experience
  • Knowledge of SAN storage technologies is a plu
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Hybrid Cloud Manager who shares our passion for technology, innovation, and excellence. You will lead a team of eight seasoned engineers working to keep our infrastructure performant, resilient, scalable, secure and cost-effective. You will play an integral role in helping us finish migrating a large part of our on-prem infrastructure to Azure and continue to manage remaining hypervisor and private cloud.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Help shape the future of our multi-cloud environment, continue our automation, IaC and AI journey
  • Own and manage platforms such as Azure, AWS, vSphere, HCI, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Linux and others
  • Be an advocate for improving stability, observability and self-service of our platforms through championing Dev/Sec/AI/GitOps methodologies and best practices
  • Balance competing priorities across multiple cross-functional projects
  • Support critical production workloads, as well as dev and test environments
  • Help troubleshoot complex issues and participate in retrospectives
  • Plan and mange departmental budget and vendors; identify opportunities for cost optimization in our CSPs

The expected salary range for this position is $180,000-$200,000. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
