Job Details Job Location: Thatcher Company Inc - Salt Lake City, UT Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: Undisclosed Job Shift: Day Description Environmental, Health & Safety Manager Thatcher Company, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to assist with all regulatory, compliance, and safety issues company wide. Qualifications Salary Range: $100k-$120k Major Accountabilities Supports department in assuring company compliance with state and federal environmental laws dealing with hazardous waste, water, and air including but not limited to: OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM). EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP). RCRA Large Quantity Generator (LQG). Air and Storm Water permits. Maintain a current working knowledge of EHS regulations & understand how they impact business. Accurately complete and revise regulatory reporting requirements and permit applications. Interact with agency contacts & participate in or lead on-site visit or inspections from EHS regulatory personnel. Perform EHS inspections, self-assessments, audits and assist in corrective action creation and closure. Conduct site safety training. Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis. Monitor life critical permit and job safety analysis programs. Review and edit safety policies and procedures. Ability to perform assigned functions under limited to no supervision. This position will be up to 20% travel to our satellite locations depending on need. Required Qualifications Experience in an industrial plant environment. Four-year degree from an accredited University in an applicable field with 10+ years of experience in the field. Chemical/Environmental Engineer degree preferred. Proven ability to lead and influence a positive health and safety culture. Ability to communicate in both written and verbal forms in a clear and concise manner. Ability to quickly assimilate information, follow-through and complete assignments in a timely manner. Ability to “own” the position and address the details required to be effective in the position. Good at prioritizing multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Team player with a great attitude. Preferred working knowledge of the following is required: PSM / RMP DOT HazMat OSHA (HazCom, LCP. Etc.)
