Description
Description Leads and develops the Material Team. Responsibilities: 1.- Responsible for developing the Material Team and implementing advanced Supply Chain Strategies 2.- Drives a Lean Culture in a high energy team environment 3.- Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. Procurement Management: 1.- Collaborates with Manufacturing, Project Managers, Engineering, PSI, and Sales as well as other areas in the general Supply Chain including Sourcing to drive Supply Chain performance by improving supplier lead times and reducing component and assembly inventory levels. 2.- Facilitates and leads strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials. 3.- Investigates potential for delays and/or quality issues, identifies alternative (approved) plans, and engage, elevate when any sourced item will not arrive on time to support the schedule or quality issues arise. 4.- Supports and may establish material departmental budgets; monitors the cost and effectiveness of production planning and scheduling to meet and support customer RK/PK. 5.- Supports removal of barriers to improve shipping and receiving by facilitating timely transport of goods within budgets and government regulations. 6.- Establishes and maintains appropriate systems and processes to ensure honest, fair, and ethical work environment; adhering to legal regulations. 7.- Manages both human and economic resources. Experience and Skill Required Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred) or supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in SAP or related ERP systems. Strong analytical abilities to assess data and make informed decisions. Ability to identify and resolve issues related to procurement and inventory management. Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal teams. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
