TEAM DESCRIPTION:

Disney’s Enterprise Technology Identity and Access Management (IAM) Group is responsible for providing a Core IAM ecosystem of products and platforms in use across the company by cast members, employees, and partners within Disney’s Business segments and Corporate functions. Our vision is to provide modern Identity and Access Management capabilities and services that are simple, seamless, and secure to protect our workforce, our data, and our brands.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

The Manager, IAM Engineering provides strategic and technical leadership for the delivery of cyber security solutions within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain. The position is responsible for leading engineering teams, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity policies, and safeguarding enterprise assets by driving secure solution design, threat mitigation, and compliance. Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Drive the secure delivery of IAM solutions, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards, policies, and best practices
  • Monitor and manage enterprise systems to maintain alignment with security controls and reduce exposure to cyber threats
  • Identify and respond to emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents; actively participate in cybersecurity incident response and remediation
  • Lead cross-functional teams consisting of security & software engineers, architects, service leads, SRE, quality engineers, and organizational change management
  • Lead efforts to remediate findings from security scorecards, audits, and risk assessment
  • Guide teams in implementing proactive security measures to prevent breaches and maintain resilience
  • Promote security-by-design principles in all product and solution development
  • Establish clear team goals, monitor progress, and address performance issues to ensure secure and timely delivery
  • Define and manage team resourcing plans and budgets
  • Oversee secure solution design and integration efforts, ensuring adherence to compliance and risk mitigation goals
  • Set team goals, track performance, manage resources, and resolve issues promptly
  • Guide and mentor staff on secure delivery processes and standards
  • Set professional development plans for staff in support of career growth
  • Work with the product owner to establish and refine the team backlog ensuring the team backlog aligns with the strategic priorities of product strategy, roadmaps, and the program backlog
  • Manage blockers, escalations to aid in on-time delivery
  • Create and provide forecasts, tracking, and reporting for delivery plans and releases
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on implementation, including training, change management, and communications
