  • Build deep relationships with various business groups across the enterprise, especially within TECE and Technology
  • Document & translate technical / complex concepts into easy-to-understand business language via successful executive messaging
  • You must be able to deep dive into the details of business, operations, and engineering, and lead the mapping of current state technology landscape.
  • For assigned value streams identify impacts on individual capabilities, determine needs/ requirements/ priorities, define options, and develop front to back holistic solution plan
  • Provide early guidance to business partners on technology capabilities and limitations to shape requirements for target state
  • Leads iterative solution design and prototyping efforts to define the “right” solution to meet current and future business goals and lead the MVP design sessions for those solutions
  • Articulate & document the business and technical rationale for the solutions being proposed, including cost drivers and benefits
  • Help define & document success metrics of proposed solutions and ensure alignment between expected benefits and capabilities of target state

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary education in a business-related discipline (MBA is an asset)
  • Experience in designing, developing and delivering automation and technology solutions is an asset

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Previous Digitization & Automation, Technology or Enterprise Architecture experience is a definite asset
  • Business Segment experience is an asset
  • Able to collect, process and analyze business and technical information and employ sound judgement in assessment of options and recommendations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with aptitude for big picture thinking
  • Solid experience and proven record in working closely with senior management across all lines of business, along with conceptual and critical thinking.
  • Works exceptionally well in cross-functional teams and is a champion of collaboration.
  • Engages colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders, and colleagues seamlessly to define a shared / common goal making things happen using positive influence.
  • Able to manage significant ambiguity and constantly changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate working with senior management at all levels.
  • Robust organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience with large scale change initiatives.

Responsibilities

This Manager is an individual contributor role responsible for leading the Capabilities and Technology workstream of Front To Back Operational Excellence framework. The mandate is to help define current and target state capabilities across a value stream by identifying capability gaps, overlaps and automation opportunities and facilitate technical design solutions that drive the greatest value for the Enterprise.
