What You'll Do: The IHG Manager in Training (MIT) program is designed for recent college graduates to fast-track their hospitality management career. Successful MITs will learn and embody the IHG culture and the culture of their respective hotel brand, develop and take their leadership skills to the next level, and should complete their program ready to step into a management position at similar property. MITs who achieve this may have the opportunity to be placed into a full-time leadership role, based on availability at the completion of their 12-month program. Program Length: 12 months (may be extended) MITs should expect to work a varied schedule to meet business needs which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays. The Experience: 3 – 4 month departmental rotation 8 – 9 months in an operations leadership role Regular community connects with MIT cohort Monthly MIT cohort seminars with key senior leaders Mentorship + networking opportunities Salary and Benefits: US $62,000 per annum Dry cleaning of business attire Health insurance premium covered at 100% (for employee) Complimentary meals in employee restaurant Hotel and F&B discounts with IHG properties, in Cayman and worldwide PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS + EXPERIENCE: Applicants must be a recent graduate within the last year; applicants must have earned Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or in a related field. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required. At least 1 -2 years of demonstrated leadership experience through applicable hospitality roles, student-led organizations, community service or a high-end customer service role. Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Organized; a self-starter. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and function within a dynamic and challenging environment. Must be technologically proficient and able to quickly adapt to various internal POS systems and other operational platforms. Applicants must be Caymanian Differences make a difference.
