Location: Selaqui, Dehradun (India) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Industry Industry: Medical devices and healthcare technology company Role Overview We are looking for a Manager - Industrial Relations who will be will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end industrial relations and employee relations activities at the manufacturing location. The role requires ensuring full statutory compliance, managing labor relations, handling employee grievances and disciplinary processes, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a stable, compliant, and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Statutory & Legal Compliance Ensure complete compliance with applicable labor laws and statutory requirements. Manage compliances related to PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, Professional Tax, Shops & Establishment Act, Contract Labour Act, etc. Handle labor inspections, statutory notices, audits, and filings. Track amendments in labor laws and ensure timely implementation. 2. Legal & Industrial Relations Support disciplinary actions, domestic enquiries, and grievance redressal mechanisms. Draft and review legal notices and responses in coordination with the Legal Head and external legal counsel. Liaise with government authorities and labor departments. 3. Employee Relations & Escalation Handling Act as the escalation point for complex and sensitive employee issues. Conduct employee counselling, conflict resolution, and maintain proper documentation. 4. Policy & Governance – ER & IR Develop, review, and implement ER & IR policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks. Ensure consistent application of company rules and disciplinary procedures. Support audit readiness, compliance reviews, and document control. Educational Qualification Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labour Welfare, Personnel Management, or Social Work (MSW) from a recognized university; bachelor’s degree is mandatory. 10–15 years of experience in Industrial Relations and Employee Relations, with significant exposure to manufacturing or factory-based operations. Proven expertise in Indian labour laws and statutory compliances, including Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Contract Labour Act, PF, ESI, Gratuity, and Bonus. Experience handling labour inspections, statutory audits, domestic enquiries, grievance redressal, and disciplinary proceedings. Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive employee issues, conduct counselling, and resolve conflicts with fairness and discretion. Effective stakeholder management skills, including liaison with government authorities, labour departments, external legal counsel, and internal leadership teams.
