Summary: Responsible for day-to-day execution of ECU’s information security operations, ensuring the protection of all data through effective monitoring, access governance, and timely incident response. The Manager of Information Security oversees staff, manages operational risk activities, and coordinates with IT and business units to maintain a secure environment. * Oversee daily information security operations including monitoring, alert triage, and vulnerability remediation. * Lead cybersecurity incident response efforts including containment, investigation, documentation, and communication. * Supervise information security and access management staff including hiring, training, and performance management. * Ensure operational compliance with information security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. * Support execution of the information security risk assessment processes. * Maintain effective relationships with all ECU department management regarding security practices and information security risk management issues, and act as security liaison between business units and IT. * Track and report operational security metrics to the Director of Information Security. * Ensure appropriate information security risk management considerations for current, new, and revised ECU information systems, products / services, emerging technologies, outsourcing arrangements, and cloud services. * Oversee information security awareness training programs for all employees, contractors, and approved system users. Also assist with member awareness communications on information security issues. * Manage information security budgeting and reporting. * Stay abreast of information security industry developments, external threats, vendor community, and best practices. Participate in industry collaborative efforts to monitor emerging security threats. Supervisory Responsibilities                                                     Responsible for the execution of the information security program. Directly supervises team of employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Education and/or Experience * 5–8 years of experience in information security, SOC operations, access management, or related IT security roles. * Degree in technology or business related field or related work experience preferred * Certification preferred: CISSP, CISM, GIAC, etc. * Required Skills * Strong balance of technical knowledge and business acumen * Financial services industry familiarity * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Proven track record in executing information security policies and procedures * Critical thinker, with strong problem solving skills * Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high pressure situations * Persuasive leader able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences * Project management skills and financial/budget management * Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and security industry best practices
