We are presently accepting resumes for a Manager, Information Technology and Digital Solutions to provide oversight of information technology and digital solutions for the organization, ensuring seamless operations in alignment with the objectives of the agency. This position will work closely with the Director, Finance and Technology to foster innovation and implement technology solutions to support organizational goals and evolving needs of the agency.

Compensation package:

  • Minimum starting rate of $47.85 per hour; $93,308 annualized
  • Opportunity to work remotely up to 60% of scheduled hours;
  • 11 statutory holidays are observed, with public holiday pay;

Minimum Requirements for this position include:

  • Degree or diploma in computer science, information systems or related field, or an equivalent of education and experience as determined by the employer;
  • Minimum of 5 years recent full-time work experience in information technology and/or digital solutions is required;
  • Knowledge of information technology best practices;
  • Business acumen and ability to align technology solutions with organizational goals;

Responsibilities
  • In partnership with Director, Finance and Technology, lead a prioritization approach in developing an IT roadmap for innovation with the relevant processes, tools, and metrics to support business objectives and new growth opportunities.
  • Ensure appropriate IT infrastructure and software is acquired to support digital transformation and overall Agency operations.
  • Ensure optimal practices and controls are developed and adhered to with respect to the organization’s digital strategies.
  • Identify emerging technologies and evaluate whether they can be used to enhance efficiency in the agency.
  • Lead assessments of current business processes and identify areas where technology solutions can improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the development of business cases for IT spending and projects.
  • Manage the implementation of technology projects and digital solutions, including project planning, resource allocation, budget management, stakeholder management, training of users etc.
  • Communicate technology initiatives and updates effectively to senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect data and systems from cyber threats.
  • Oversee the IT helpdesk, ensuring tickets are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, applications, network, hardware, software etc. to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with technology vendors.
  • Develop high-performing, results-driven teams through coaching, providing transparent insight and feedback, and meaningful developmental opportunities.
  • Attract, develop, and retain qualified team members while developing accountabilities and succession planning for key leadership positions.
  • Overseeing the management of marketing and promotion equipment and properties.
