Engage with industry thought leaders, staying current on best practices and trends in the port, logistics, and maritime sectors.

  • Represent the organization at international conferences, events, and trade shows to promote the organization’s brand and establish its presence in the global market

Demonstrated experience in project management with a strong track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in an international context. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar is a plus.

  • English proficiency and preferably other languages such as Arabic and French is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement international growth strategies and initiatives, targeting new markets and business opportunities in the port, logistics, and maritime industries.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential risks in international markets.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders (internal and external), including government agencies, industry associations, and private sector entities, to promote the organization’s global presence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new business opportunities.
  • Manage the international business development pipeline, ensuring timely progress and alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of international projects, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Roll out of the prepared strategies within the wider ADPG Group, including Clusters and other internal stakeholders (M&A Team and Corporate Commercial team)
  • Regularly interact with internal stakeholders (including Regional CEOs) and Clusters for strategy related topics
  • Evaluate Projects including financial and commercials analyses, as well as leading due diligence processes with external advisors
  • Ensure that the BD Team retain the right focus in terms of projects prioritization
  • Prepare internal and external updates (Presentation, Reports, IC / Board Materials etc). Solid experience with PowerPoint and Excel is a must
  • Acting as the project lead and developing full business cases.
  • Industry knowledge: deep understanding of the port, logistics, and maritime sectors, including market dynamics, key players, emerging technologies, and industry trends. Familiarity with various transportation modes, such as shipping, rail, and road, and their integration in the global supply chain.
  • Market research: expertise in conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, assess risks, and inform the development of international growth strategies.

    Establish clear performance expectations and goals, providing regular feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
    Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication, ensuring alignment between the international strategy team and other departments within the organization.
    Strategic Responsibilities:
    Contribute to the development of the organization’s overall strategic vision, ensuring that international growth strategies align with and support the broader organizational goals of ADPG.

Qualifications: Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Maritime Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Demonstrated track record of successfully overseeing international projects with a focus on international strategy, business development and market expansion.
Minimum of 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in ports, logistics and maritime industries, preferably with global ports and maritime companies.

Demonstrated experience in project management with a strong track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in an international context. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar is a plus.
