MANAGER – INVENTORY & LOGISTICS

As Manager - Inventory & Logistics you will lead a team responsible for inventory controls & the daily execution activities of expediting, picking, packing, and local dispatch. We are looking for a hands-on leader to work directly with team members to maintain high Service levels to internal and external customers, order fulfilment, DIFOT, inventory accuracy and adherence to standard operating procedures. You’ll be responsible for setting the tone, driving productivity, and ensuring deadlines and targets are consistently met.
This role is based in Auckland, New Zealand. However, will be responsible for sites across New Zealand. Ability to travel to other sites will be mandatory.

YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or High school diploma and/or 5+ years of relative experience
  • 3+ years of related experience in Leadership within Supply Chain
  • Proven ability to manage inventory teams
  • Proven ability to implement systems and tools for material management
  • Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math and statistics
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other heavy manufacturing
  • Experience with ERP Systems
  • Prior experience in high-paced, rapid growth environment
Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team responsible for inventory control and logistics.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track and manage stock levels.
  • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Manage daily operations including expediting, picking, packing, and local dispatch.
  • Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and resolve issues.
  • Maintain high service levels for both internal and external customers.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DIFOT (Delivery In Full, On Time) and order fulfilment rates.
  • Implement corrective actions to address any service level deficiencies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
